I can still smile,
every once in a while.
But I find it very hard.
I laugh with my friends,
I create art with pens.
Yet I still love each single scar.
I live through each day,
just wanting to say,
"Show me who you really are!"
I know that each person,
around our world that's ruined,
Simply hides, though they could shine like stars.
I've also realized there is no cure,
for the depression that settles here.
We belong to it and it is ours.
But contrary to popular belief,
It is simply a stage of sadness and grief.
Everyone goes through it, it helps us grow every hour.
Because once we know we can get through depression,
then we know we ca
The flames and the silence are deafening.
I feel the trigger and the pain.
I am running out of nothing, everything, and time.
He demands payment for my sins,
but I am stuck running circles around lives and ghosts.
I hold on to my mistakes and my dreams,
knowing that the missing words and pieces will never come back.
Faith gets me nowhere, but it still demands a chance.
And I demand a rainbow.
There is so much on my mind.
You are on my mind.
There is a feeling, just a feeling, of hope.
I am telling you this story of forever and this story of light
because you need to know.
But beware, the noise and the creativity is dangerous.

horrible problem.
She couldn't control it, either.
Whenever something good crossed
her mind,
she would begin

herself until she thought
of the most horrid things.
Her father, Mr. Eriksson, blamed
it on his wife, Wendy.
Her mother, Mrs. Eriksson, blamed
it on Melody's
real father.
"She gets it

She'd defend herself.
"It's just a small case of
Peter Pan Syndrome."
& Melody would smile,
thinking of
her real father,
who had visited her
in her dreams
on multiple occasions.

Please, let us deal with this,

I had nodded,
stars and butterflies distracting me as they flew

against him,
wouldn't be able to argue

Not with this sickness,
this weakness inside of me.
It squeezes all of my will power

How can I sit

when others are out there
in danger?

uncomfortable, but I force myself to stay

Maybe I should have questioned
why your teeth always chattered
like fingers clicking on a typewriter,
and why your fingernails
looked as though faint, blue ink
had bled through
but who questions anything
but hair,
makeup,
and boys
at the age of sixteen
and maybe I should have noticed
the lunches you spent
doing homework,
or listening to music,
as you gave away your lunch,
because you said
you were not hungry-
and I silently thought
more for me
and maybe I should have wondered
why you walked through the hallways
with pockets of graphite
under your eyes,
as your knees knocked together
like keys on a lanyard:

The World Of The Dreamer
by Tricia Pattinson
My world is beyond the words
That set the boundaries of normal
Words stamping daily life
Like: "Innocent" or "Guilty"
Too fast it goes
In so few heart beats
The world about me stamps and ticks
By and bye; legitimately or no, life's done
But I live in the world of the dreamer
Courageous; expansive; creative
Always a beautiful new horizon when night arrives
Mine is the world of the audacious firefly

Directions to the end of the world
Take the first path you find.
Go straight. Keep going.
Past the grocery store; past
the gas station. Leave the post
office behind. Ignore all rest stops,
ice cream shops, and stoplights.
Toss the map – you don’t need
it anymore. The city is dust
behind you; cross the state border;
leave the country. Swim across
the ocean, walk over tundra,
then ice. Keep going.
If you fall off the edge, you’ve gone too far.

Guy Fawkes Day
Burns one man's vendetta on fires of drunk delight while Heaven's rainbows burn and sparkle in the sky.
The fascinated coo while boredom freezes cold and watches while his breath fades steaming into night.
The pennies for the guy jingle in their tin while he a traitor burns, his Cath'lic soul in Hell.
The animals run scared, not from fireworks, but from th'unholy sound of Guido's punishment.
He screams a silent scream that no-one else can hear, save God and pets and Satan's wailing hordes.

I don't like talking about myself, so I'm not going to write about who I am. I'll write about how I feel and what I care about. If you want to know who I am, then read my poetry. That'll tell you more than I ever can.
